**Cavalex Class 60 - Project update January 2025**

Cavalex Models are pleased to share the first shipment of our all new Class 60 is imminent

Cavalex Models are pleased to share that our brand new Class 60 in 4mm scale will be arriving with retailers in early February 2025, with the first shipment from China due with us imminently. Following receipt of production samples in early January, we have approved the models received so far.

Due to the volume of orders received for our second locomotive, and to ensure that customers received models before our factory breaks for Chinese New Year, we have taken the decision to ship over the models from the production line that have been completed to date. With 7 production versions of the Class 60 to replicate each individual prototype locomotive, the factory have been working overtime to complete the project.

Please see detailed below a delivery schedule of the two batches of models. The first shipment arriving with us imminently contains the following models, both DCC ready and DCC sound fitted:

60001 - Steadfast
60010 - DB Cargo (both branded and de-branded versions)
60028 - Cappagh Blue
60029 - DCR Grey (Key Model World exclusive)
60062 - Steel on Steel (Rails of Sheffield exclusive)
60076 - Colas
60087 - GBRF

The remainder of the models will arrive mid to late Q2 2025. Details of shipment two of the models can be found below.

Production samples:

The pioneer of the Class, 60001, will be supplied in a special box with a ¾ size replica etched build plate for the locomotive, as well as additional replica paperwork from the handover ceremony. The unique tooling for this locomotive has been utilised to faithfully recreate the original as built condition of the prototype.

Colas 60076 and GBRF 60087 feature modern cab interiors and ‘Super 60’ body tooling.

DB 60010 and 60062 feature modern cab interiors and ‘Super 60’ body tooling. The ‘Steel on Steel’ vinyl on 60062 has been recreated superbly by our factory team using a variety of techniques.

DCR 60s 60028 and 60029 both feature the updated BMAC lighting configuration and the modern cab interiors.

A further update will be released early next week, with a detailed look at each model that will be arriving with retailers shortly, as well as a preview video with Hornby Magazine.

We can confidently say that we have delivered the best model of the Class 60 we can produce, and we cannot wait for customers to receive them!
