Continued testing of our Class 60 has been taking place whilst we await pre-production samples from the factory. 60049 looked excellent this week on a rake of BBAs - a big thank you to the Railnuts and Making Tracks team for hosting us and testing the Class 60s. More news to come on the Class 60 project over the next few days!

We had a very enjoyable weekend at Model World Live, our thanks to the Key Model World team for organising the event.
On Saturday 27th of April, Pete Waterman’s Railnuts team set a Guinness World Record with their Making Tracks 4 layout – ‘The Final Frontier’, for the Largest portable model railway.
The record was for the worlds Largest Portable Model Railway and had to meet stringent criteria set by Guinness including being measured to within 0.001m, being a single scale model, prove that it is portable, be built to a professional standard as well including details of the number of trains, loops, track length, locomotive movements and all measured tracks being used.
One of the criteria was for all the usable track to be measured for which a special Sonic Track Measurement wagon was created.
The official track length came in at 694.9m / 2279ft.
Our congratulations to the Railnuts team for their achievement.
It was great to have some of our models, including our latest Class 60 samples, running on the 208 foot long layout.

If you are attending the show, this weekend please visit our stand, A30, for the latest updates on all of our projects and chat about model railways and modelling.
