Cavalex Models BBA - 2nd Run painted samples
In the second run of our BBA wagons, we are bringing three new liveries to the model that we did not produce in the first run. We have received painted samples of these new liveries for final sign off. The new liveries are as follows:
Bauxite (General release wagon available via our retailers)
Metals (Rails of Sheffield exclusive double pack)
EWS BBA/BLA (KMS Railtech exclusive)
There are of course further Railfreight and Plain Brown releases in the second production run, with alternate running numbers to the first batch of BBA/BLA wagons.
We have included photos below to showcase the samples we have received.
We have also made a few tweaks to the models compared with the first run, these are as follows:
The mould line on the round buffered versions has been removed
Stanchions will be supplied in the detail pack of the second run, as opposed to being fitted. This allows the individual to chose the location of the stanchions more easily
We are always seeking feedback from our customers as to how we can improve our models, so the feedback from the first production run was sent to the factory in order to fine tune our model.
Bauxite BBA - general release
When the BBA was initially delivered in the early 1970s, they were delivered in the Bauxite brown colour scheme.
910100 - Bauxite
Metals BBA double pack - rails of sheffield exclusive
Two BBAs were painted in the metals colour scheme, both being painted all over black with the metals sector logos on the main frame.
910265 had black end plates whilst 910333 had yellow end plates with grey on the side of the end plates. Both models are fitted with the rectangular buffer type.
Our models faithfully recreate all of the elements on these distinctive pair of wagons.
910265 - metals
910333 - metals with yellow ends
EWS BBA/BLA - KMS Railtech exclusive
During the late 1990s under privatisation, BBAs and BLAs were acquired by English Welsh & Scottish Railway. Painted in their distinctive maroon, we are pleased to be partnering up with KMS Railtech to produce these wagons. The wagons are perfect for modellers of the late 1990s, and can still be seen running up to the present day (albeit in a much more weathered state!).
